That's how Tataru was too. I never found Tataru particularly hard because it seemed like her AI was particularly bad. I had a lot more problems with Midnight Dew.

I know the heavily random rules make any kind of plan hard to execute, but I found that the best opening move is _usually_ to put something in the top left (unless it's a very strong card like Bartz/WoL/Squall). Her most dangerous cards have weakest sides on the right and bottom. If you can bait Terra mid-left with it you will _likely_ be able to easily claim it from underneath, making it permanently blue (same sort of true with Odin and his 1 bottom). There's also Cloud and OK which if they also take the bait - expose their weak right numbers making them ripe for the picking. From there just play aggressive where possible, elsewise keep filling left. Obviously can't guarantee anything, especially since she can brute force your 8s and 9s with her cards, but it's as a good a strat as any
