I'm glad I am not the only one. And not to sound like those who compares the two games; I know FFXIV is different from FFXI. But I really love the partying system of FFXI, especially when it's time to EXP UP. I love that we have a TANK, a HEALER, DDs, BUFF/DEBUFFER, and a PULLER. I really pride myself in being a good PULLER (GOD I MISS MY RANGER), I actually keep track of how many times I get aggro/link on a pull (and of course curse to myself).
I also love the word CAMPING... cause CAMPING feels more of a hunt... running forward and plow through mobs as you move along feels so... barbaric... LOL. Anyways, I will stop here before this turns into a flaming thread..

If its not a bug (and they indeed do not like to leave their territory) then they need to have a spawn/aggro radius (small circle), roaming radius (medium circle) and a territorial radius (large circle), instead we have spawn radius (small circle) and roaming/territorial radius (medium circle).
The circles are from that of the monster's actual spawning position. That way you could have both types of parties (roaming and camping) because why would you limit the ways people like to level? We have solo and party why not roaming party and camping party to increase the options?

I miss pulling too. I don't like roaming parties. As a mage I do miss healing from one spot and resting when I could. I'm SORRY. haha

Yeah, it's not due to pulling them too far. I was pulling Bomb Embers in Nanawa like a couple feet and it would go back. I understand if they want them to run back for help but it needs to maintain claim and come back quickly. It either needs a lot of adjustment or needs to be canned.
