SE isn't choosing Telia. They chose KDDI. KDDI peers mostly with Level3 and Telia, and your ISP's routing policies are determining which one if them you get assigned.

Need to be in touch with your ISP's Tier3 support. Give them either the IP your client uses (not necessarily the one showing at arrstatus...look it up with resmon or netstat) or the EU lobby server (neolobby06.ffxiv.com). You need a higher tier support then the ones that typically answer the phone or are the first to otherwise respond to a support ticket. You need specifically tier3 (sometimes referred to as Engineering)...they are the ones with the resources to conduct a proper investigation and escalate the issue towards any fixes.

Alternatively you could try altering your path through a VPN. It may be a good idea to at least tinker with the free use policies many offer to see if it improves. If it does, it is good ammo to fire at your ISP to fix your routing.

I find it .... Disgusting... To come and blame Square Enix for making the life of all EU players easier, at last!.... And, to be honest, I wouldn't have mind how it was because I had high ping, and EU have high ping. How it is right now is, EU low ping, me middle ping... So, I'm in disadvantage myself... also don't be rude to non-Europeans on EU servers. Thanks.
There's lots of reasons why non-Europeans would choose and/or stay on an EU server.
