Square Enix has given up on real gameplay

People abusing a leveling system is not to be blamed on SE,it is to be blamed on the people who willing do so.Those people are to lazy to level up the normal way,this isn;t something new.It's been in every mmo i have ever played.Even in Guild wars, ( which only goes to lvl 20 so there is no grind whatsoever ) people were asking for lvl 20 players to run them across the map to new towns in exchange for money,they skip a WHOLE lot of content while doing so,i never liked it,and i dont really like people powerleveling.But it is still their choise to do so.I solo mostly and leveling is absolutely NOT fast at all,it still takes me about the same time to earn a level ( if not longer because the mobs hit me harder and i have to rest more often ) then pre patch.

That was the promise of the physical levels, getting to 50 physical level would make ranking up other classes easier than starting from scratch. But SE removed physical level, now a new player level 0 in all classes would level at the same speed as a player who is rank 50 in 2-3 classes. Power leveling compensates for this problem by allowing an established player with friends who help him/her level faster.

You make a really good point. I sort of agree. For someone who is already at 50x2 the magic is pretty much gone. But it doesn't have to be that way. Each job could be a refreshingly fun and new experience that makes you relish the journey all over again. I guess that would be too much work >.>

edit: ALSO, what about crafting though? You'd think that giving crafts equal status with DoW/M would result in similarly advanced leveling gameplay? Instead its just duh button press, duh, button press.

As much as I hate PL: no, I think the developers are actually responsible for fixing loopholes in their game mechanics by themselves. Of course, this is a neverending task. The only thing that really bugs me is when those who abuse the loopholes continue to claim they are just playing "as intended".

Dont worry SE will correct their error and the 30 white knights on the forums will make posts to SE thanking them...just like every time they wait a long time and fix one of their errors. Ofcourse the damage will be done but SE doesnt care they arent making this game for PC users , we are after thoughts at this point.

Yes you can, IF you can find someone willing to do so - Would you be willing to PL someone? If not, then you are not involved in it and should be minding your own business - unless you can state how they are causing you to be unable to play the way you enjoy.

Not without either gathering the materials first yourself or with the aid of someone else who has done so - would you be willing to gather the materials for someone else to spam their craft with? PLは本当に個々人によって単語の捉え方も違いますし、
先行するプレイヤーと、後発のプレイヤーの距離感を縮めるために、

There are different feelings towards PL depending on the players view on it but the goal where having new players come closer to older players have not changed.
I believe this is because it's volunteer for the side doing the the PL by spending his/her time helping his friend or family member and doing for good will.

ただ、その範囲は今回の占有改修によって発生することを想定しており、
極端なレベル差がある状態で、PLされる側のキャラクタをPT内に入れたまま放置し、
レベル差分の経験値の減衰が効力を発揮していないことが想定外でした。
We did have an idea about this after after the modification to the claiming system but didn't expect where the person getting PL can be in the party and do nothing and gaining exp without the penalty where it calculates the level difference between the players.

経験値獲得の計算式は、今回のパッチ1.19で根幹のテコ入れが入ったため、
表面上の効力が分かり難くなっており、今回の対応の遅れに繋がっています。
緊急メンテナンスも視野には入れていましたが、パッチ1.19aのリリースが
目前に迫っているため、本件も同時に対応させて頂きます。
There was root changes to the exp gain calculation formula in 1.19 and made it difficult to understand and also reason for the delay.
We thought of having a emergency maintenance but patch 1.19a release is close by so we will have this included in it as well.

Seriously...grinding to max level isn't the main part of ANY MMORPG. Why are you making this into such a big deal?

SE has given up on the idea that gameplay is BY NECESSITY equal to the mindless repetition of simple, monotonous tasks that do not enhance a person's enjoyment or ability for skillful play. I don't consider that de-evolution in terms of MMOs as a whole. At all.

If you need to play out the same battle 2000 times before you move onto the next challenge, you keep that nose to the grindstone you brave, determined.... slow, slow, person you.

If someone is willing to put the time into PLing you, you're worth it to them for some reason. No one's just going to go out and grind noobs for fun. They have to think you have potential, value, or gil if they're going to let you speed to taking part in content with them - and if you have those things to offer the community, you deserve it.
