Regarding summons in FFxiv

i already check it, and its a great excuse to do a lazy work, it can be the same lesser summons but with the looks of the big ones like i said above

People have been asking this since launch...and still they do nothing. Pretty lame.

This disappointed me too, but I can see it. If you've ever played ffxi you know how much of the screen the Summons took up. Now imagine syrcus tower and the trash floors. Can't see shit as a melee right? Now add 5 or 6 ffxi ifrits and garudas lol now think about Amon with all the melee and 5 or 6 ffxi ifrits/garudas.

It's already hard enough to see whats going on with just character sprites. Big summons would just clutter the floor and make things like AoE's hard to see. They made them small for the sake of visibility in a game that requires movement and dodging.

I don't think they need to be bigger per say. Most summoner I've heard talking about this would be satisfied if they just had more options than the original three and having started leveling one I'm inclined to agree. The video the OP put up is neat to me not because they are huge but because they are diverse. Glamouring the Egi seems...odd considering that unless they give us new models to pick from, this doesn't address any of the things people were asking for. Not new skills with egi's or new looks.

There will be new models like Ramuh-egi and co apparently.

That seems.... like it's asking alot. Additionally, there would be a ton of balance to take into account with new summons unless they were just reskins of the current ones.

If we are just talking visuals then if Egi's were to remain the same size, then you wouldnt get much more than a minion on the level of graphical quality and detail. There's alot to consider here.

nice point of views i read but atleast they could only improve the looks and keep the size then, and adding new egis would be pointless since there are not elemental weakeneses in the game and people would keep using only one, the stronger.

Everyone except for a few white knight square enix employees that post on the forums know that summoner is a disgrace. Lore is a BS excuse. Manpower is a BS excuse. You mean to tell me that they can make a crap ton of minion models, but making a better looking egi is too hard? GTFO with that crap.
