WHMs and their toolkits

Asslyum felt really weak to me until I posted. Then I saw the error of my ways. Divine seal should be used often too short of a CD to just use it for emergencies.

(lmao Divine Seal in FFIX is 10 minutes..)

I can TOTALLY get used to this being 1min lol

It is weird for me when I'm tanking stuff and not see white mages use their abilities... I main whm and use that stuff when I need to and some times when I don't just for the added kick. I think the two main spells I don't use hardly anymore are repose and fluid aura.

Asylum + Regen + Medica II is about a 3k HoT. This is nice for both bosses and crazy trash pulls. By itself, yes, Asylum is pretty weak, but it's not really intended to be used alone.

Both skills are pretty situational. There's not really a need to DS during trash pulls (unless you feel like you need to Regen and Medica II, then I'd advise DSing them) and most WHMs keep them off CD just in case of emergencies (you never know if the tank might run out of CDs or if someone might accidentally aggro more). I used DS a lot on bosses when I was i170, as it saved me MP in the long run, but now that I'm a much higher ilevel my heals don't really need the boost and, depending on the tank, that much extra healing might generate far too much aggro.

PoM, on the other hand, is the emergency "Oh f**k, this tank is going to die" button. Most don't use on trash pulls because if your Holy's are too fast, then you clip the Stuns and faster AoEs = faster aggro, generally not something most WHMs like to do. However, on bosses, it should be used as a DPS buff... unless it's A3S, then you might wanna use it for add phase. QwQ

Main thing I use POM for is Stone III spam after I set up my DOTs.

Hey, let's increase Benediction CD time to 2 hours like back in FFXI!

Didn't that also heal the entire party? I vaguely remember using it and then instantly dying as everything came to tear out my insides.

It did, it was also the Mijin Gakure for white mage :'D (although less glorious)

Funny enough, once you get your WHM geared tough enough in XI, it was possible to Benediction and just shrug it off thanks to -50% PDT.

Ah, the glory of OP geared healers that were nigh unkillable in XI.
