MCH in general. I loved the fact that the questline wasn't "you're a great hero and the only one who can do this", and for the most part you were just the new guy who was good enough with a gun that you got the prototypes of the new toys. I know most people hated it because they have the need to feel like the game worships the ground they walk on, but for me, it was a very nice change of pace.....
Also, clearing Ravana, (Normal, not even EX), for the first time back before hardly anyone knew what to do in the fight. There was a nice sense of accomplishment when we finally got through it.....
Though, ultimately, my FAVORITE part of the expansion was the first couple of days during early access when everyone and their grandmother were playing either DRK or AST. Those couple of days when DPS was the "in need" role for the DF, were some of the most satisfying days I've ever had when playing this game......

I wholeheartedly agree that the final story beats for 3.0 were truly the best. Like, Everything that happened in Azys Lla, from arriving there and questing through, right up to the Singularity Reactor battle, was an incredible RPG experience that belongs right up there with some of the best moments in the entire FF franchise.
It all just came together so well. Azys Lla's music, exploring the area and having so much background shown to you rather than told, then there's the beat where the Empire shows up and the chemistry between the opposing factions really shines -- you positively despise one another and will take any excuse to throw down, but you both know you're distracting yourselves from whatever it is you've come for and almost grudgingly part ways. That's how you pay service to Eorzea's greatest rivalry without making it feel shoehorned in.
Then, Delta Quadrant, and the poor nigh-mindless dragons still living there. Then, Tiamat, the final piece of the Meracydian puzzle. Then, Midgardsormr finally takes flight. Then, you arrive in the shadow of the Warring Triad. Then, the Aetherochemical Reactor and all that follows.
I'm making an alt soonish just so I can do it all again. Well, to do a lot of fun things again, but that especially.
By the way, count my vote for making a "Minstrel's Ballad" version of the King Thordan fight, please! Seriously, it's both exhilarating and delightful, especially to certain people who played FF7 obsessively enough to enjoy that summon materia. :D

Knights of the Round reveal. I seriously was not expecting that primal battle because I thought, "how could you possibly put it into the game?" I loved that reveal :).

My favorite moments were mainly the story, and cutscenes. Especially 'A Knights Calling' and the Y'shtola one. Also when I first unlocked flying:) That was amazing!

While there were a number of great story segments as well as lots of nostalgic moments for previous FF titles, the scene I felt had the most impact ...
"A smile better suits a hero"

OMG. When I went through the Vault, I felt like I was going to throw up because I had a horrible feeling that something really bad was about to happen. Afterwards...yeah, my intuition was right..I boohoo cried...
The King Thordan fight was intense and totally unexpecting. The whole time I was like, "WTF IS GOING ON?!!"
Overall I really do enjoy playing FFXIV because of the story. So many twists and turns and I'm mega curious to know on what's going to happen next. It's very unpredictable.

I loved clearing Ravana EX. After Bismark EX I felt that Ravana EX would be a lot easier than it was. Thanks to the amazing BGM, I never got sick of the fight even after days of having to joining so many practice parties for different phases. Plus the animations of Ravana are amazing, it's always a treat to just enter to see Ravana's moves. And getting the first clear felt so rewarding, not to mention getting the weapon to drop before patch 3.05 felt even better.

My best and worst scene was with Lady Ysayle/Shiva in Azys Lla, best because i love both of them i love her character and for me she is the best chracter of them all, the worst because well u know.....i was so frustrated...... but that was the most epic scene for me.

My favorite part was honestly the beginning. Doing all the side quests in Western Highlands, discovering the lore and tragic pasts of the many NPCs that reside in the outskirts, the hostility between nobles and dragon slayers, the AMAZING visuals DX11 brought, and the overall atmosphere they created by discovering new land (the narrator was a subtle, yet necessary touch). I thoroughly enjoyed the story, I'm only sad now things have become more or less sterile due to lack of content. Here's to 3.1!
