Request to Yoshi P: Hire more staff

As someone has stated, hiring more staff dont mean better and faster patches. Look at WOW, they doubled their team and yet they have brought less to the table in their last 2 expansions than WotLK and Cata.

The one vacation all at once is probably just a one time deal and next time they will take a break on shift. As they pretty much have been working on 1.0 ending, ARR and HW for over 3 years now.

I think they only translate the Q&A ones, or they just didn't do the last LL for some reason. But regardless, I do prefer it in video format and we do have an awesome community team so why not?

It all depends really, if the encounter designs are the problem then yes you can't throw more people at it. Assets as in models, textures, etc. Definitely, and those are what take up a bulk of the time.

Well, if Square hired more people for this game, then they gotta recoup the costs somewhere. That Cash Shop is looking rather nice...

They just need to get back on patch release schedule and everything should be fine.

I'm really disheartened by this attitude. There are enough resources out there now that you don't have to be ignorant of how game development works and the costs and difficulties involved.

Does Yoshi-P have free reign over SE's finances? Nope. Is he refusing to hire more people to spite us and delay patches? Nope. Does he even get a say in when they do/don't hire people? Probably also nope. A company as large as SE is likely a mire of higher-up people making such decisions to please outside parties (such as shareholders) and the artists/programmers/musicians just have to deal with it - or "git gud" as this community might say.

I'm surprised they've done this much with the team they have, it must be a nightmare to keep so many parts moving with a reasonable rate of success.

I have already commented on this matter in different thread and I will repeat myself..

I don't see into SE's management, but from the feeling "new" content gives me I kinda guess the FFXIV team is really small.
There is a huge amount of recycling, grind covering missing content and also huge portion of content that seems to lack complexity and any deep mechanics.
Overall this is still the best MMO I have ever played and I can see myself logging back from time to time when new content comes out, but I really feel like SE needs to understand that if they want FFXIV to increase their profit, they have to invest more in it. Sure, 1.0 was a fail, but 2.0 is a success and to stay like that it needs to evolve and go forward all the time. They should give us more of what we like, but they also need to try new things, expand old mechanics and improve them. To do that they have to expand the team. A small bunch of people just can't give us a huge content every 3-4 months and ensure that it will be always variable and fresh and also don't get burned out. Either the content will become recycled and boring or the people working on it will die of exhaustion. I don't want any of these 2 options to happen to be honest. :)

So don't turn to Yoshi, turn to SE. ,)
SE, please, expand the team. :-P
