I don't really think it matters.. It's not affecting game play and nobody is going to 'WOW OMG SUCH NOOB' just because you have the leaf symbol.

Honestly it's usually "Oh cool a newbie" instead of "uuuugh a noob".
So yeah I don't know why you'd want to disable it... I mean live with it now. I mean...is this an alt account for you, OP? If so then you've lived with it before. If not then you are still technically new to the game.....doesn't matter how far you are.

I enter a <insert content>, say "Hi all, new player bonus is from me, I'm on my alt and know this <insert content> just fine!", the entire group thanks me for the extra XP/tomes/whatever, sings my praises in prancing circles around me during the rest of the run, award me all commendations, offer me assorted livestock to go with their oldest daughter, call the machinists for a 21-musketoon salute, ask which server/housing ward I reside in so my feet can be properly washed/massaged after kicking so much a...

It's not out of the ordinary considering how fast they've made pre-50 leveling, espesically if you've spent the entire time on leveling instead of wandering off with DoH/DoL or secondary classes. Besides, you're not even past the first half of the game, greenhorn :v
