Healing help with a sch as a whm in a1s.

Sounds like the SCH may be worried about the prey targets and couldn't top off the WAR in time. If it helps, the group doesn't need to be completely topped up after gunnery pod - the two prey targets only need to be healed enough so they won't die to the last missile. They can focus on their tank after 2-3 heals on their assigned prey target.

Good point. Maybe the sch is overhealing the prey target and isn't switching to the war fast enough for the tank buster. I'll look into it. Thanks!

Do you know what heals a sch should use to help up prey? I'm assuming a double adlo with maybe a lustrate?

Is the WAR using a few mitigation tools in his kit leading up to his/her Hyper Compressed Plasma that they're going to Holmgang? It doesn't matter how much HP they have at that point as long as they're alive since they're going to Holmgang Plasma anyway. Anything they can do to help while your SCH is handling their Prey would help.

Also, is your SCH trying to put their Prey target back to full HP before moving back to the tank? Because all their Prey target needs is enough HP to survive the six hits then you can focus on the tank. Is the SCH also microing their fairy to be constantly healing their tank while they're handling Prey? Just a few small but important optimizations to have. Push comes to shove, save all your Aetherflow for Lustrate at this point and go nuts on the Lustrates during double Prey and then once after Hypercompressed gets off to get the OT back up to snuff. Should be able to refrain from using any other Aetherflow stacks leading up to this point.

I'm also going to ask the stupid question - is your SCH only using Physick when double Preys are coming down? If so they definitely need to output more healing via Adlo.

I don't think I've seen our war use holmgang much. Normally, he uses inner beat plus vengeance and maybe thrill of battle. He often drops to around 50% health when he's fully healed for the buster. It's going into the buster that's been the problem. I think he's done the holmgang panic when it knows he's not getting healed up enough for the buster.

You ask a lot of good questions about our sch that I don't really have answers to. Next time we raid I'll see what I can find out. Like I said it takes almost of my focus to keep my shit together that's it really hard to know exactly what's going on with him.

Oh well, from what you've written so far, all I can tell is that the scholar isn't prepared well enough for the prey+tankbuster chain. What the scholar can do:

Adlo the prey target and/or tank (at least one should have it the very least)
Indomitability the prey target and the tank if they're in range (it's still 400 instant potency on both)
Virus whichever boss the warrior is tanking for plasma
Emergency Tactics Adloquium+lustrate whoever has prey should be sufficient to keep them alive after the first missile hits at that point
Save rouse for that particular part of the fight
If the scholar is using Eos, Fey Covenant the tank before the plasma
Dissipation the fairy if the scholar's desperate for stacks. There isn't a lot of incoming damage after the tank buster, especially when the bosses are channeling the ground AoE. Not recommended, however, as it'll cost you more MP in the end than you gain.

As for the warrior, they can heal up for a good chink with Equilibrium if the healers are too occupied due to preys, if he/she hasn't been doing that yet.

And for the question in particular; The White Mage helps out healing both tanks and the entire group if this allows the scholar to spend more time off DPSing. White Mages are perfectly capable of doing so, but the moment preys are assigned and plasma comes is the one moment you'll be too busy to relief the scholar of their healing duties.

I'm the SCH in my static and what I do for prey + tank buster is: Adlo the prey target, physick, lustrate tank, physick prey target, then heal tank up. I found what helped me get that part down was to work out a 'heal rotation', so I knew exactly when to use my skills and when to pop CDs etc.

I solo heal the entire first phase. I may get a whispering dawn (eos aoe regen) towards the end but otherwise the sch is 100% in cleric stance. I also try and give him enough time to dot up both bosses at the beginning and end of phase 2. He almost always get his dots in the start of the phase. The ending is a bit more difficult. His dps was also really low. So I dunno.

Cool thanks. I have the same worked out for whm. However, my rotation is really simple.

Do you use Eos or Selene in this fight? Or, do you switch on certain phases?

Generally we switch. Our blm loves battle voiced foe's with fey wind right away in the beginning.
