Using Disciples of Land abilities on Chocobo?

Thanks for your feedback! We relayed your request about using abilities, such as those that let you survey the land while riding on a chocobo to the dev. team and they let us know that although they can’t make any promises, they are strongly looking into implementing this feature.

Honestly, though, I don't agree we should get the exemption and be able to use DoL abilities while riding the chocobo. I am a heavy gatherer, too, and I am very super uber happy I have a chocobo to ride out there while I'm gathering. I don't mind jumping off my chocobo to survey the land (use ability) for my next destination. It only requires 1 click of my mouse, or 1 hit of shortcut keyboard button which I assigned for my Chocobo Whistle. And it only takes like 1 second.

I see three options for this, two of which seem most pleasing. 1: They could add animations to the ability. This gives the player the feeling that he/she is not getting off of their chocobo to see a single line of text. 2: They could simply allow players to use the abilities on or off of their chocobo. I personally would prefer the animations for added visual integrity of the game, but the second choice isn't a bad move either.

Another option would be an arrow on your mini map. Kind of like the Yellow arrow for when your out of range for leve mobs used to be.

While you're at it, can we get an adjustment on Arbor's Call style abilities. Thanks to personal chocobo's it makes no sense to run 200 yalms, even with quicken, if you can freely hop on and off your chocobo.

And what bout people who don't have a lvl 30 character to get a chocobo ?

It also helps you figure out where a mature tree is if you're too far away for the locator abilities to work. It's not much but it is what it is.

The V2 screenshot shows chocobos as being part of battles, so why not get them more involved in gathering too? The system to use actions on a chocobo will have to be implemented for V2 so they may as well let you use the DoL skills too.

I do see the movement speed moves being adjusted at some point since the Guild mark ones are pretty useless once you get chocobos. But I honestly don't think it's worth the time to allow you to use abilities on the chocobo it really just takes all of 2-5 seconds to get on and off a choco to check the area which doesn't really seem like a big deal to me lol.

I'd rather the team develop on abilities that gatherers can use to enhance their abilities with gathering rather then solely rely on passive abilities.
