Are you referring to the no MSQ for ishgard thread? The bot tags? The Necroed one? If so what makes you think all tags are directed at the op? There were known botters posting in that thread, simply because they wanted their bots into the new areas without having to do the maq to get in.

But still, reporting tags on a necro thread? A current thread I get, but a locked necro thread? Whats next, searching the archives?

All of this and I still can't figure out how to even add a tag.

Nevermind, found them at the bottom. Never realized there was something down there!

It's hard for me to imagine someone getting their panties in a twist over tags here. Does anyone even really look at those things? Most threads don't even have them, and I'm never aware of them in ones that do unless someone specifically mentions them.

I dunno, I've seen some pretty vile things dropped down there in the tags, usually on longer threads that involve heated discussion. It seems like some people can't just have a debate; they have to be nasty about it in every way possible from bringing up personal things about the OP to putting mean things in the tags (which is pretty cowardly when you get down to it). I certainly wouldn't tolerate someone getting up in my face and saying abusive things to me in real life. I don't think people should have to tolerate it here either.

Does that make it any less of a bad thing to do regardless of wether people should get mad about it or not?

Sure a thick skin in any heated debate may be a internet requirement, that doesn't mean people should get away for treating others as garbage.

It's probably why tag abusers do it in the first place because they know most people won't bother to look below the page. Ergo, they can flame someone and leave it behind like a graffiti tag for when someone DOES look.

I can't stand those who think it doesn't matter if you're an asshole to others just cause "it's the internet, who cares?"
Of course, it's easier to get away with things because your real life reputation goes unaffected most of the time, but it doesn't make it acceptable. There is no excuse for treating others like shit. None. It's not ok.
