Please can we have more info on EU Datacenter migration

The most common spots for EU datacenters are Frankfurt (Germany) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). London is somewhat behind these two and used mainly when you also want a decent US connection while sacrificing a bit of Eastern Europe connection.

So I really hope it's one of the first two.
1) They already have an extremely good infrastructure.
2) They have a TON of trained people living around them for if SE needs more server techs.
3) They have the best ping for overall Europe (including Eastern Europe and Scandinavia)

You will miss out most likely.
Who cares? The benefits WAY outweigh the 5 day downtime.

Sweden has some solid datacenters too, Facebook use sweden for some of their server and Google

No offense taken. I'd take Amsterdam/Frankfurt over anywhere in France if given the chance. Even french games have crappy servers here...

joke aside, even if a 5 days downtime may mess up the caps and stuff, the transfer will occur around 3.1 launch (or at 3.1 launch ?) so there will be Void Ark by then, and new stuff (prolly i200 with upgrade items for the i210). Compensatory stuff, yay !
