DRK and PLD both have some clunk that I think should be adjusted.

I will say that Clemency is not exactly useless, I use it in A4 and used it for A2 progression (casting it on the WAR during quadruple Jagd Dolls for those 21k potency heals). In dungeons, I tell the healer not to stop DPSing until I'm under 2k MP and it's extremely powerful.

However, you never use it once you outgear content or in between those special cases where it's useful so it's not enough to make up for the lack of TP management on PLD. If you're running regular Alexander and probably for the upcoming 24 man content, it is worthless. There should be another option for TP management.

They serve there purpose there not skills that are meant to be used all the time. Abyssal drain on drk is another example as well as buff dark dance. Neither of these things need to be changed they do what there supposed to and that's all. Pld and drk are similar in ot dps as well as drk being better for magic fight while pld isn't really that much worse not to not to mention DRKs only upside in physical heavy fights are it's Mt dps over pld. There both just fine

Make Shield Bash, Shield Swipe, Sword Oath, Shield Oath, and Grit oGCD. Also, remove the activation costs for Sword Oath, Shield Oath, and Grit. I love WAR but there's no reason why the other two tanks shouldn't be able stance dance freely as well.

This is honestly the only thing I really see that should for sure be changed minus shield bash being of gcd. Chain stunning is very situational but a nice thing to have every now and then. (Adds in factual etc.)

You don't play PLD, do you? Shield Swipe's only marginal utility is an incredibly small TP regain, its otherwise a DPS loss regardless of when you use it, its a bad skill, the proc should be skipped the majority of the time, its just, flat out not good. Clemency is incredibly clunky, overheals most of the time, and has you doing 0 DPS for 3 straight seconds.

Which is why there situational skills. You don't need shield swipe for added dps anymore it's use is now to ease tp starvation and clemency can be used to support healers that either A. Are a tad weaker than most and need help or B. Simply provide support during progression. It's the single strongest heal of any tank in the game. I play both pld and drk I also Maine pld in 2.x I know how the class plays and I know how it stacks up. Both pre 3.0 and post. And that 3 seconds you lose on those rare occasions must just flat out murder your dps.

Making Shield Swipe off GCD means PLD now has no real TP management option when MT either so I personally would rather they just increase the potency. Putting Shield Bash off GCD has some appeal as well, but it eliminates stun-locking. If you want to give a huge buff to Shield Bash, making it not cancel combos would do it, but it's unnecessary.

Sword Oath/Shield Oath/Grit being on GCD on rare occasions has benefits over off-GCD like WAR. You can switch to Shield Oath/Grit while moving or for one mechanic (like Tethers in A3 Savage), then switch back and not miss any GCD of DPS stance. That said, making it off GCD is obviously preferable the majority of the time.

PLD practically needs buffs/fixes in just about every aspect of the class.

Making defiance work with abilities is a bad idea because WAR is currently top tier in almost all aspects of tanking, it needs to have one downside somewhere, and this one is getting off lightly.
Use the instant cures on someone else and pre-cast the cures for the extremely predictable damage the war takes.

If WAR gets this buff then something will have to take a hit, and quite drastically, because SE will have made a class with an incredibly important strength, and no significant weakness in sight.

No, bugs should be "fixed" there is no reason a heal should not work with something. Less you suddenly want to make other tank stances not work with some types of damage.
