Not a thank you. A "You're welcome". This event is them thanking US for playing the game they worked so hard on.
So to all the Dev Team "You're welcome." You've made, from the so called ashes, an amazing game I want to share with everyone. And of course, thank you, for doing so.

I do find it a little funny that we go on a bug reporting mission to stop an infestation of annoying bots, but then we get sidetracked and we never actually see the harassing bots being defeated for good. Even funnier that I was getting non-stop RMT spam during the event.

I had such a nerdgasm when Yoshida walked up to my character. This is the coolest thing they've ever done.
Thank you FFXIV development team! <3 <3

I will admit, I got quite teary. To the entire team, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for such an amazing game and I truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into it~

That was so cool. I felt so honored when they all spoke to me. It was cool seeing everyone in game after seeing them all in the streams and hearing about them in the live letters. I actually almost teared up. That was sooo cool. I love the concept arts in the room too. Especially that coil one.

Dear OP, I hope you don't mind if I ride on your coat tails, but instead of clogging up the forums with the same thread, I shall...
Two whole years... has passed since Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was opened up to us players. I had heard of FFXIV through many a grape vines and had never been swayed to join it's ranks during 1.0 cause mostly my heart was still deeply embedded into Final Fantasy XI. Alas, it was only a matter of time before my heart got broken and I found myself without an MMO to call "home".
After trying out all the new fads of F2P MMO's such as AION and Tera, I really missed the ways of FFXI, but just couldn't bring myself to go back to it, but thankfully! I had received an invitation to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Phase 3!! I was so excited! My very first Beta invitation, and ofc to the famed FFXIV! No matter what you thought of 1.0, Infamous or Famous, it was quite talked about, and many knew of what game it was and where to find it. I was so thrilled! I had read during some interviews and looking at the timeline projections about how they wanted to introduce "Male Mithra" or ofc... Male Miqo'te (my long awaited dream! Lehko Habhako <3 ).
So funny and silly, but I actually ended up going Hyur-Midlander and even stayed as such when Beta Phase 4/Early Access had begun and our character data was being saved! I was sooo excited for this so much! To the world of Final Fantasy MMO's, all of this was something new and exciting! And still is!
Fast-forward a bit and going into FFXIV:ARR's 1st year anniversary, we celebrate with last years "The Rising" and boy oh boy, unless you knew tales of 1.0 and it's masterful ending, it didn't make much sense (thankfully I'm a story/lore nut so I had watched/read every thing I could find on 1.0 before even installing my Beta!) It was still amazing to watch and see all the things I had personally done during 2.0 and launch and to know of all the struggles and plight of the calamity that ushered in the 7th Umbral Era.
Fast-forward even further to today's event, I truly feel emotional. Tearing up at the story (I won't say, b/c spoilers and also JUST GO DO IT!) I was moved quite a lot! This year, THIS YEAR I truly felt a part of "The Rising" it truly integrated us all! From 1.0, to 2.0 and now even 3.0 players! All of us together can move forward and keep finding out the wonderful and amazing world that is Hydaelyn and fighting for Eorzea!
So as I'm ranting and raving quite a lot.... I just want to say to Yoshida and the entire Dev team (And you too Mr. Soken!) Thank you! Thank you all so much! For continuing on with this amazing game, and allowing me and my friends to have something incredibly fun and adventurous to do in our spare time! I appreciate all the had work the entire team does for us as players.
Thank You! <3

Those of us who have been around since 1.0 share this true amazing feeling it is to see this game pull off a Phoenix move and be reborn into something so much better.
there is this feeling deep down
that cant be explain easy with words...
from the day of 1.0s launched, to the day 1.x ended and we saw that horrible disconnect screen
to seeing 2.0s launch,
then to see the gates open to 3.0
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING US A GAME THAT MADE ME FEEL, THAT MADE ME CRY, THAT MADE ME DESIRE, AND THAT I CAN SEE MYSELF PLAYING FOR YEARS TO COME!!
THANK YOU NAOKI YOSHIDA AND EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE MAKING AND MAINTAINING OF THE WORLD OF EORZEA!!
