What makes WHM special? Nothing anymore.

Lightspeed isn't that great because 1. It uses up MP anyways compared to Freecure (PoM with lucky Freecure procs is better imo) and 2. It's not exactly instant, as you still have to wait for GCDs and for this solely fact it's quite annoying, I only use it for emergencies or if I need to chain nuke. PoM is still more reliable and useful in my honest opinion.

WHM's regen is still stronger than AST's. Overtime you can tell the difference. Medica 2 is 20y range and just for that sole fact it's extremely more convenient than the 15y from AH specially in fights where you have to spread, like A1S.

Reason ED is on 40 sec cooldown is because it's our only single target emergency heal. We don't have an instant AoE emergency heal like Assize. So in my opinion, the recast times are irrelevant. You are comparing 3 emergency heals to 1 emergency heal on AST.

Ewer is random and not 100% reliable while Assize is there at your fingertip.

I somewhat understand about the uniqueness in each job but saying AST does things "WAY" better than WHM is not exactly true. Level both jobs at 60, do end game and see it for yourself.

Edit2: One thing I could agree with would be Synastry as it's more yummy than divine seal but that's personal preference. :p Even then I'd say they are pretty well balanced based on recast time and potencies.

Without reading your biased breakdown at the end even you admit WHM wins most of the actual healing related categories.

You're right, looking at the numbers more closely, PoM will allow a heal every 2 seconds, while AST's Lightspeed will give a heal every 2.3 - 2.5. However, even with PoM a Medica 2 will still take roughly 2.3-2.5 seconds. Where as an AST's AoE Heal will take 0.5 seconds to cast, making the FIRST heal happen sooner, in addition to the 25% MP Reduction. I'd be willing to concede that these are comparable rather than a win for AST since WHM will get more of them off, but AST has that MP reduction. I'll change the tally for it.

When AST was almost useless no one said a single thing and now that AST got buffed AND IS NOT STRONGER THAN BOTH JOBS! as people are saying, you come and whine about it?
Again, the whole concept behind WHM is "PURE BURST HEALS" as you can see by their new skills, pure burst heals (except asylum).


Some things to note, lightspeed does not increase your healing/dps output, GCD still is there.
AST buffs are RANDOM R-A-N-D-O-M and by that i can say >unreliable<
MP management? AST? no.
The only reliable mp regen tool AST have is LA since ewer is completely random, whm has SoS and Assize and a bunch of FREE OF MP COST heals (without mentioning the new medica trait)
AST contribution to DPS, again, RANDOM and if AST decides to DPS? Even worse.
I won't go all day with this.
You want new tools? sure, you're free to want them, but DO NOT blame AST.
You want to compare jobs?
Compare WHM to SCH to see with how much "utility" WHM will end up having.

I can say, when i play as AST i never use Lightspeed for the "instant heals" since it won't increase my output, and yes for the "reduced mp cost".

What kind of dark sorcery are you using to draw Balance/Arrow cards every single time?

Hypothetically speaking if Balance somehow had full raid uptime you'd still only get a 10% dps boost on a single party member.
