BRD or MCH for raiding

Both work.
If you are able to master MCH it edges bard on dps, if you'r not then BRD has probably a slightly lower skill ceiling.

BRD also has some clunkiness which the MCH doesn't suffer from since it was designed for its toolkit.
And with current buff MCH gets to move even more than before without needing to drop Gauss.

As from raid leader standpoint, most raid groups look for a BRD/MCH not one or the other specifically.
Although I would prefer to raid with a MCH over BRD, it's just that right now there are not enough skilled MCH out there to be picky about one or the other and player skill is more important.
I expect things to change in favor of MCH if nothing changes, but this will be for the next tier of raiding and it still won't exclude skilled bards, just have people want the MCH more. (Because of the role they fulfill)

I'd say go with the one that you feel that you can perform better on and that feels more fun to play to you.

if it's 3 melee then sure but any party with a caster and multiple targets like oppressor/0.5 on A1, aoe in A2 and hand splits in A3. Your caster will most likely be top dps with foes by a margin with 100% or 80% foes uptime. At least this is the case in my group. I'm top dps in A1, A2 and sometimes A3 if I don't mess it up + foes on last phase. The dps difference with mch vs bard is somewhat minor but their buffs cover up for it, the rest depends on how good the players are in your group especially the caster.
