THIS PLEASE!!!Quote:
- Add mini aetheryte location names to the map in Ishgard and other places. (Opening the map and hovering over an aethryte should show corresponding aetheryte name from the list) I can't tell you how many times I've had to play aetheryte roulette trying to teleport to a desired location in Ishgard
For DoL please add a separate inventory that all harvested items are dropped into. Similar idea that crystals are kept into except doesn't necessarily have to go into an assigned slot. Many mmos have this feature - it boggles my mind that FFXIV has yet to have this.... /boggles
Consider this: I'm in Mor Dhona and want to get to Waking Sands, and Horizon is my "home". My Recall cooldown is still ticking. I have two realistic choices: die or port. Waiting and travelling by land take longer.
Dying would respawn me wherever I last used an aetheryte from your proposal, and I might not even remember where that is at the time. That's more of a disincentive to die, I'll grant. But not the good kind.
Porting would be cheapest by porting to my FC estate in Mist, taking a ferry to Limsa Lominsa, running to the Bulwark Hall, taking the airship to Ul'dah, then chocobo porter to Vesper Bay. If I died in Vesper Bay, I'd return to Mist rather than Horizon which is right there!
Nevermind having to educate everyone and change all the starting quest stories. Lots of work for something that would be frustratingly random-feeling rather than consistent.
All the ideas ppl have given in the thread are excellent!
But I have to say to your second suggestion .. OMG YES!!!!!!! please
The ui imo isnt all that great, it has very very little customization tbh, it needs many more options...your suggestion is a great start!
Please implement se. :o
The UI scaling system could use some work - at the moment everything becomes very blurry at anything that isn't 100% relative to your native resolution. Also, why is there still no 200% scaling option? If you use a 4k monitor or VSR/DSR upscaling (which is desirable due to the limited anti-aliasing), 140% really doesn't cut it.
