Why not just make everyone a DPS?

The reason boss fights are a circle room in this game is for balance reasons. It has nothing to do with platforms.

The reason boss fights are circle rooms is because ff14 devs are unimaginative.

why do people keep saying WAR is basically a dps? It isn't and still can't do equal or more damage to a dps that's playing properly. It also isn't as far ahead as people give it credit for.

Because it can do all the content a Paladin can while DPSing much more.

Just get good bro.
The good paladins and good dark knights also do a ton of damage. You just don't know how to apparently.

Just feel free to tank and not do damage because that's what you signed up to do. Nobody is stopping you at all.
Just be prepared to be left behind on some content.

I swear these threads are like watching old people complain about these new fangled computers and color televisions.

You ever hear of this thing called a band wagon? Their quite common. ;P

Yes you may feel like a glorified dps that has the boss and enemies on you, however what makes us difference is obviously the defense and cds. I dunno about you but as a Drk I love just plunging intro crowds and hitting a huge Carve & Spit followed by my combos. Yes we're meant to mitigate, and we do that better than anyone else the playerbase is obsessed with high dps due to the high dps checks at the moment. GW2 wouldn't work for this game at all it'd make the endgame a lot more awkward, and comparing FF 14 to WoW tanks, it's not as mindless as oh I dunno...(stack haste haste haste, use dps accs and then hit your 4 buttons and never use cds). If it was like WoW's tanking I would of quit long ago.

No, I totally understand. It's not a discussion at all, it's you continually making the same types of threads because your PLD4LYFE and totally butt hurt because someone told you your damage is low, and now you're whining on the forums that pld is broken and needs some changes.
