Would you pay for a "Premium" Server experience?

All the people claiming ourage and whatever else might pop up should be taken with a grain of salt. So many said they would quit if the game had f2p features and got a cashshop and so on and that SE is much better and that is why they prefer XIV etc. In the end those same people started justifying those very things saying they are good as soon as they were implemented. Like you OP I doubt it will happen but if it does I am sure there would be many willing to pay. Even many claiming its a horrible idea now because as soon as it is in the game its a good idea that will be defended tooth and nail.

I agree. I think some people would pay for absolutely anything with the Final Fantasy brand on it.

For me, I would expect a lot in return for that price though. Like nearly instant in-game customer service :o Or an RP-enforced community. Something where they're having to pay people to sit there and cater to our needs, how a premium service /should/ be.

Yes, I know I sound like a spoiled princess. Just saying. We all expect a lot with our $15. You better believe I'm gonna expect Eorzea on a silver platter for $50 :P

I could quite comfortably afford a to join this premium server, but it's against my views on how this game should be. I like that we have a level playing field, a premium server is a bit like paying to win, and I don't want that in this game.

The only "premium server" experience I would pay for would be one where the GM's actually and actively did their jobs on a daily basis. A server with no spam, no gilsellers, no gilbuyers, no botters, cheaters, or aholes trolling content? I would pay all kinds of money for that experience. You report something on the Don Corneo premium server, and a superGM would be there within minutes, if not seconds to observe and act on whatever it is.

I'd be down for this.

Technically, I am "paying for a premium server experience".
I could easily play plenty of other MMOs that are Free To Play.

This idea is bad and you should feel bad.

Wait are we talking about a one time purchase of fifty dollars? For lifetime access to these premium servers? That's not bad, all things considered. I would have to be treated really special though, but GM hosted events and extra bonus mini-content sound really promising.

However, do I think it's a good idea? Nope. People would just complain about another pay wall separating people, and rightfully so.
