maybe they planning something like Monster Hunter in future where you can actually track where the NM/HNM is running off after you first engage on some epic battles they might add in the future??
I don't see anything wrong with NM's having it's own icon.
People are really not competitive in FFXIV mostly because they are either WoW players or they are FF fanboys. My linkshell has rocked up to so many camps and people have just left because they can't get claims in. But this feature will make it a little bit easier for noobs, they still have to kill it so its not so bad.
OMFG THERE ARE ICONS FOR THINGS WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT ON THE MAP!!!! That's it guys, game over. The sky is actually falling this time, the world is ending. I mean how dare SE completely tear at the fabric of the game by putting another icon on the mini-map?! You know what, forget all the hard work the devs have done and all the other great changes they've brought about, I'm quitting the game now.
theres a few things i thought were a bit more immerssive.
like in FFXI only certain classes were able to see mobs on the map, and each of those classes were able to see mobs at certain distances on the map.
i wish it was made that way instead.
can someone please make a mini map app for my cellphone too, that way i can just afk in the living room till it pops and i can come to my fellow linkshells aid. hooza.
