As long as they executed it well, it would be successful. All jobs that are different than expected have an initial backlash, and then slowly become accepted by the player base. (Ex: DRK, MCH, AST)

I've actually been brainstorming a Vampire job heavily based on Bravely Default for a while. I really like the idea of it, and I think it could introduce the idea of a job that is high-risk and high-reward.

I made an idea-thread about it and got yelled at... =w=

But with the addition with the void Ark and the void matges could that actually fit the lore of the vampire in ff14

Would love a Vampire/Necromancer job class myself. Closest we got is Arc/Smn/Sch with the disease spells and the some of the Drk's abilities like Salted Earth and Abyssal Drain.

And yeah I loved the Vampire class in BDFF. The essential Blue Mage with a twist.
