Sheltron should be 1-2 second block

I think Sheltron should block physical AND magical attacks. Especially since it's a half dome over your shield. Not to mention right now it's comparatively weak to Inner Beast where it can be popped in roughly 8 seconds less to a much greater effect (100% lifesteal + 20% less damage from ALL hits taken for 6 seconds)

Inner Beast is a GCD ability that requires 5 stacks of Wrath. While it is the strongest single CD in the game in terms of uptime, it requires some management other than just waiting for it to come off cooldown.
Inner Beast is not even comparable to Sheltron. Inner Beast is the cornerstone of WAR's mitigation while Sheltron is but one of PLD's many abilities.

Sheltron is really good. Alexander Savage is designed in such a way Sheltron can't be properly used. That's it.

Kind of, but I'm pretty sure they just have auto attacks set up as a timer that just goes off on a regular interval. I believe this can cause a situation where it can go off between the time that a boss's cast timer ends and the time that the animation finishes and damage is actually applied. If the boss sneaks an auto in that window it eats the sheltron buff so it doesn't get used on the tank buster.

Sheltron should work like 1.0, when it allows you to block magic spells.

Ironically, Paladins were considered weak for 90% of the 1.0 end game, but i think most 3.0 paladins would love to have the 1.0 kit. The self heal they had was powerful and instant cast. They had an AoE 'enmity' power that was like an aoe provoke around them. All sorts of other great stuff that sadly got tabled for things like....tempered will.

Correct. If this was 2.0 content, Sheltron would be amazing.

Sadly, SE went away from that. Physical damage is constant auto attacks.

Like...when would you want to do that? I mean on a boss that does no physical busters it would be okay sure, but the amount of healing saved would be something like 1k every minute, not very compelling. Compared to shaving off 3-5k from a buster.

Only scenario I would think that would make a noticeable difference is when an enemy is powered up, but even then...not really. It is a good suggestion to make it block abilities only.
