Time speculation

Well, several places in Heavensward MSQ time is mentioned specifically. At least once it is stated it takes 'a fortnight' to get things together. If I had time, I'd go through all the MSQ dialogue and see for sure.

Since a fort night is 14 days any time it says that add two weeks to the tally.

I thought it was 15 days, actually.... half a month. It's referring to lunar phases, IRL, if I recall.

Shrug/ Could be. Last I looked it up it was 14 but alot of times it depends on the sorce. I think a lunar phase is like 28. xxx days when you don't round thr numbers. So 14ish give or take a few decimals. Probably 15 after it's rounded.

I can't help with finding all the fortnight messages but google says that a fortnight is 14 days

New thoughts! Do fortnight and sennight use in-game use the Earth moonphases or Hydaelyn's? Sennight is a 'week' but Eorzea uses 8 days considering the moon phases and that there are 8 phases of 4 nights/days. Is Fortnight 14 days or is it 16?

It would use Hydaelyn's. There are a few times that a fortnight has been mentioned as the amount of time needed to do something, so at the very least, you've been adventuring for several months now.

My head-canon is that every major fight/dungeon eats at least a full day, or perhaps even 2-3 if it's an incredibly long one. I personally don't think we went through the entire Aetherochemical Research Facility in any short amount of time. And there are many times where Minfillia or others suggest you "take a break" after defeating a primal and the like, so you're likely down a day or two afterwards.

None of the NPCs have mentioned anything such as, "It's been a year since you joined The Scions, hasn't it?", so I'm just shooting for 6-9 months.

Back in 1.0, it was said that it was 1572 for 1.0

5 years later were are at 2.0

Do you think the recent event with this dialogue confirms we're still in the time bubble from 2.0 as treuhavik said?
In the Moonfaire event, even though we had this same event last year, "Ever since the Bombards were beat back five years ago..." (Which i've been told is 1.0 event)

I was thinking that same thought... I started playing with 2.0's closed beta, two years ago, which means that the first Moonfire Faire I took part in was the first of ARR. And I distinctly remember fighting bombards. So it's been five years in game since that event two years ago?
