Suggestion for Assize?

Where exactly are you seeing this? There's nothing under the ability details that says anything about needing to have targets be in combat with you. It specifically says "Deals unaspected damage to all nearby enemies with a potency of 300." Just tested it, that statement isn't correct. Stood right under a level 31 Buffalo in Costa Del Sol where I happen to be right now, flipped to Cleric Stance and hit Assize, and it instantly did 1798 damage to it and killed it in one hit. It wasn't in combat with me or even attacking me at all.

He was suggesting a fix, not saying that it already does it.

That's not a fix that's a nerf lol.

It was never designed for solo play in the first place. Solo levelling is 10% of the whole game and you want to nerf a skill just for that?

i was never suggesting a nerf. and there is much more to solo-play then just leveling. either way, it was just a thought to make the skill easier to use by giving the player more control over their actions. if people don't like it, that is okay. and again, i wasn't complaining about the skill. no worries.

I dont think assize or holy should hit mobs you aren't in combat with.

I think the idea is being careful with Assize and being aware of its radius. Besides, in most dungeons the tank pulls everything within range of the party anyway...

I have never had this problem. On dungeon pulls typically anything THAT close to you would be pulled. There's so many runs where lots of weaker enemies all start to appear, like in I forget the name but the first level 60 dungeon as part of the Heavensward quest, that factory thing. Near the end you get so many mobs all coming up, that Assize and Holy would be super ineffective if you had to have them attacking you first to work.

Wait, people use sleep/repose on level 56+ dungeons? Am i on a bizzarre eorzea where people don't spam aoes on every pull bigger than 2 mobs?

You mean people actually use repose/sleep beyond the dragon boss on brayflox normal? XD
