This patch dropped the ball hard

I didn't gear all of Law in a day, I didn't hit level 60 in a day, I didn't fly all in a day. See the pattern here? Locking everything behind a weekly restriction actually leads to more complaining then having nonrestricted gameplay. The game was actually fun and paced well when it didn't have a restriction now it's 2.5 all over again except you can fly.

Are you Kidding me? I shouldn't have to do anything. The game should just give us the new greatest gear as soon as we download the new patch and as soon as you level up one job to 60 the other jobs should just automatically be 60 as well.

I'm of the opinion this has less to do with the gear and more to do with the content. Old content isn't bad, but it gets tiresome running it. Higher level gear may be equated with accessibility, and if the only way to freshen up older content is to play a different role, it is a ball crusher to do hard caps.

Better system: Let players buy access to gear with esoteric instead of specific pieces with it. You still have to save up 900 for a weapon, but after buying the first one, the rest are purchasable with law. Same could be done with other items.

I'm a midcore player (far from the hardcore, but not quite casual either) and I like having something to work towards. It's... challenging and it requires me to work really hard to clear. And I have a feeling that it will be immensely satisfying when I finally do clear it.

So for now, I'm fine with it. I think Faust's DPS check is insane as all get-out (granted I was a MCH in a party that also had a BRD, so that could have something to do with it), but I think that, once I gear enough in Alexander Normal and through Esoterics gear, I SHOULD be reasonably okay later on.

The only way I would not be okay with this is if this difficulty was for the normal version. I saw the Alexander story through Normal, and this is nothing more than just a harder variant of that, so I don't feel like I'm missing out like I was with Coil.

Well I can tell you one thing you should do is read. I don't want to be fully upgraded to the highest level possible. I want it to be done nonrestricted and at a decent pace, instead of waiting 3+ months to complete because of a lockout.

I feel like these have been nice for those of us not on the cutting edge of progression. I'm not even i160 on my main job yet and havent even touched ex primals or alexander normal. SE has given those of us who don't have the time to be on the cutting edge of progression a great amount of tools to make sure that we can get there in our "Scrub Statics".

Why are we complaining about a myriad of ways that the player base can utilize to improve gear sets and provide content for ALL the players.

If this is about the weekly time lockout then I don't even know what to say. These caps have been in place since the beginning of the game. If you didn't expect RNG in Savage or a cap on tome gear that is equivalent to, that then you haven't been paying attention to anything this game has been doing since its first day of release.

Not only the same system since 2.0 but the same system almost all mmo's use.

That will bring chaos to 3.1, where they will flood the players with the 2nd best tome (see 2.1, 2.3 and 2.5).

Just say to SE they should change weekly lockout to low droprate (no lockout, but 80% chance to get no esotheric at the end of the content). Or increasing the esotheric cost of the gear.

Honestly it's a bit fast. Alex -> upgraded by esoterics -> upgraded by savage alex, would have made more sense imho
