I can agree, Souleater's current animation looks more appropriate to be called Power Slash.
And likewise, Power Slash's animation has a hand blast which puts more less emphasis on the actual slashing.
If the life drain came with the blast, it'd look like you were sucking their soul with your hand which would be pretty cool.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that Power Slash Souleater is clearly based on Cloud's Braver.
Just with the added twist that you stab the enemy first then do the jump.

I like both, but I do think they could be swapped and it would fit better conceptually.

Guessing you mean Soul eater is based on clouds braver. Cause poweslash is future trunks move. Its just fewer slashes after the initial downstroke.

But ya my buddies noticed the references in the animations. Apparently heavens ward is filled with em. Never noticed ravanna says all the dialog from the MGS liquid snake fight till my friend pointed it out.

Yea, I meant Souleater. Corrected.
Yea, there are a ton of cool references. Just mentioning this one cause people seem to think it's just a jump attack.
Hell, it even has a sort of almost 8-bit movement when it goes down, which makes it feel really retro.

Souleater is too dancy and floaty for my taste. Most DRK animations are pretty slow and soft unfortunately.
