I guess a big part of my argument is that you're not channeling it for 18 seconds. All of these are very situational, brief, uses. You're not getting the fully benefit of the ability in all of these examples. You're using it for a brief one off ability.

yeah, it is mostly to take a big hit with nocturnal sect and then move to cancel it and continue what you where doing.
