hate to break it to you but you can blame fellow FFXIV forum posters/player for the reason we can't have this

take The Steps of faith for example (yes, i know this wasn't hard when it came out):- the day it came out people were screaming on the forums at how hard this was and how it needed to be nerfed into the ground.
