No RMT For Me In A Month With No "Busy"

What's that? No or very low RMT on servers that have very high population and are constantly bursting at maximum capacity? Who would have thought? Meanwhile, on Coeurl, rmt spam for days.

It never ended or slowed down on Zalera. In fact it probably picked up in speed due to the new amount of potential customers they thought they could nab. They're not in Ishgard yet but they can still send you tells from Ul'Dah...

I sincerely don't believe that. If hordes of RMT BLMs can queue for dungeon parties and use position glitches to get through, literally all a person owning those bots has to do is get at least one of them through Steps. When it comes to real money profit gold farmers always find a way.

Anyway, not the point. The fact they can't feasibly doesn't matter, you can get a tell and a friend request from a player no matter where in the game world they are. The gating of the expansion literally did zero to lessen RMT. Only thing it limits is RMT /say and /shout advertising. Tells and friend requests are still as rampant as ever on lower population servers.

I got very, very few during the period of early access and the Alexander release, possibly because Leviathan was locked to new characters. Once it reopened for a brief period I've started getting them every few minutes. Annoyingly, a huge amount are identical & it would be trivial to block them should we have a test filter.

Or maybe because the servers are almost always in queued so new characters can't get in.

It probably has a lot to do with the lock on character creation on the realms. Our realm was quiet for quite a bit after EA ended but now the spammers are coming back with a vengeance!! So if you still aren't seeing them, consider yourselves fortunate but don't get too comfortable lol.

The RMT Friend request abruptly ended for me since HW.
I've gotten a few Tells ever since then but when I get the time, I open the player search, get all the lvl 1 players in the server and report all the suspicious ones in one fell swoop.

Copy pasting makes this incredibly easy :/

How to receive RMT tells again: go to Limsa.

I wish I could say the same but they're still rampant on the Midgardsormr server.
