I main WHM and really like the new skills myself, but my secondary BLM BLIZ & FIRE IV seem more like fluff to me and still not certain when you would use them, guess I'll figure it out? Then there is ley lines (I love) which requires you to stand still, I mean BLM in these new fights barely has a chance to stand still in this new content. 9 times out of 10 after I use it either I have to move for an AE or the boss drops something on it and I can't use it....
Summoner at 50 is not the same as summoner at 60, so much better at 60. But yeah takes a bit of getting used to and rearranging all your hotbars to take advantage of the new skills. Scholar got some very nice and useful abilities as well, it's great keeping the game fresh than your typical rotation at 50.
Same here op. I just feel like I must be horrible at this game every time I drop enochian, whether or not it was my fault.
This is how most MMOs are. Expansions bring raise to level cap and new skills.
I wasn't intending on even touching Dark Knight because I'd given up on trying to tank. I just felt horribly inept at it when I tried Pld and War. But on a whim I decided to give it a try (figured I'd at least run the first 3 dungeons like I normally did, come to the same conclusion, and switch back to Whm), but to my surprise, I'm suddenly loving the crap out of Dark Knight and have jumped on the Drk craze band wagon. I wouldn't say I'm a pro tank, but to my credit, I don't seem to be half bad at the role in general so far.
HW's addition of Drk has boosted my confidence in my taking abilities.
After realising my FC really had no good drg's for progression but tons of bards and smn's, I took my drg to 60. Never really had a grasp on lvl 50 drg before, but definitely even have less grasp on drg now.
What I'd suggest is, don't give up! Not knowing everything immediately means that your job has grown in depth, and gives you a chance to grow as a player!
Anyone know the ninja rotation for 60 lol?
When I first got to 60 on my Black Mage, I cannot tell you how difficult it was to manage my rotations while weaving my actives in when possible.. while trying to dodge all the abilities launched at me (see: Ley Lines hidden mechanic, when used you are automatically targeted by whatever enemies you are fighting).
It's definitely difficult at times to keep an eye on my Enochian, Ley Lines, Raging Strikes, Astral Fire, and mana points to work out when I need to switch to Blizz 3 -> Blizz 4.
Not to mention working out when I should use my swiftcast (enhance my dps now, or save it for a mid-rotation save while I'm moving?)
BLM for me has gone from mild panic attack to crippling anxiety the world is ending press all the buttons.
