Examples of gameplay you think is a form of torture. Let's hear 'em!

-WoW style "questing"
-WAR/Rift/GW2 (supposedly) style "public events" (Rifts, public quests etc.).

I'm someone who is not averse to having a few drinks, or drunks, so I think I have some tolerance for puerility. But these poor excuses for real MMO content are dull, simple, and to me pure torture (in the video game sense...). It feels like my brain is melting away inside my skull when I have to do this kind of "content" it just so insults my intelligence.

That Bastok quest in FFXI where you had to go to Dangruf Wadi, get level capped at something like level 10, and then follow some NPC soldier recruit around, making sure he didn't get killed. I never did finish that one--not for lack of trying ><

For shame. Shame.
I have never seen such a cheap cash in. You take an action adventure spanning across many bizarre, unique, and beautifully designed areas and you replace it with a poorly designed random dungeon romp through atypical RPG settings. That was torture. That killed the series for me.

It wasn't perfect at all. That minigame was designed like ass.

Really nothing more boring than the crafting/gathering grind in this game. I just got Alch to 22 and it felt like torture. I don't even want to think about what it's going to be like 35+

This game should come with a complimentary subscription to Netflix and a second monitor to quell the boredom of crafting the same item for days.

I liked it :')

First time I broke a sweat up to that point in the game.

Chocobo Racing in X was so easy though D:> (did it on the second try lol).

Most annoying thing? Players that want SE to make this FINAL FANTASY game into a FINAL FANTASY game that has nothing to do with FINAL FANTASY staples (jobs, magic, moogles, chocobos, airships, compelling stories, graphics, etc)

Most sill-annoying thing? Bad translations/dialogue from the earlier FF games. They were great but tacky lol. (Especially most of the Barrett's lines in VII)
