How many books does one need for one class?

There are three books per class:
-Abalathia
-Dravania
-Coerthas

Also, you need 600+ gathering otherwise you have 0% chance of getting the item. In order to get HQ you need 656 perception (might no be exactly this value, but its close).

Oh, nice, thank you for the numbers! I'm still only level 55 for my DoL classes, but I'm working on them! It took me a while to figure out how Collectible Gathering worked, and that's clearly the fastest way to get exp by far. I'm still wearing full Foragers/Dodore sets with Lucis mainhands. Without melding, the level 55 stuff is barely an upgrade. I'm holding out as long as I can!

And yeah, I found it weird how all the BTN collectibles were useful for CUL, but none of the MIN ones were useful for anything at all, even at a low level...

So the Folklore books unlock 2 nodes?

Little confused, I used a Tome earlier, and it told me that some nodes were added to another players' gathering log. I have 2 new items in my Folklore list on my log, but is it normal that it...gave them to someone else too? I tried to /t the other guy but he doesn't wanna answer me. That happened with anyone else?

Can anyone confirm which Folklore book has "Dravanian Paprika" "SnurbleBerry" "Vanilla Beans" ?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say dravanian paprika is prob from dravania. but I may be wrong...

They're not. Dravania unlocks Snurbleberry and Seventh Heaven.

The books work fine for fisher, they're not bugged. They unlock new fish to be caught that you couldn't catch before, it just doesn't tell you what they are. The fish itself in the fish guide (once you've caught it) will have a regional folklore tag on it however.

Phew, well that's a load of my mind atleast. I was well sad thinking I wasted time getting the book. Can your remember that time/weather/mooch and did you have snagging on? :P

It was a mooch off a Rudderfish in Azys Lla, in the Habisphere (cloudfishing). Don't remember time or weather conditions unfortunately.
