It'd be less inconvenient if the battle tab were the default one. It's nice that it saves your tab while you're logged in but if I log out, log in, and want to check tomes or seals (the only things I ever use the tab for) it's an extra click that's vaguely annoying. My gil is already visible in the lower right, and my company seals and MGP are things I don't really worry about over capping, in the former because they mostly come from turn ins that show me how many I have in the window anyway, and in the latter because I'll never overcap.
Really, though, it's about as quick as it used to be. Ctrl+C instead of C, then click the tab you want.

yes and no,
its going to take time getting use to i mean since early access I've been hitting character when i was trying to check my currency
but its something that CAN be gotten use to.
i would actually like to see more options for currency to be displayed at the bottom right of my screen.

I don't think it's any better or worse, just different.
-
I would rather it be a tab in the character window, or at least all be in one pane, not multiple tabs within a window, but I can live with it.
-
I don't like that it's not where I'm used to finding it, or that it's split up into 3 different tabs. I rate it as mildly annoying.

I'd just like them to stop changing things that aren't broken in the first place. "smart unaway", moving things around in the menu, adding a drag function to right click, stuff like that is really not necessary nor requested features while other things... BIG things... remain completely broken and inaccessible to the playerbase.

I'm sure they didn't just do this for no reason. There was starting to get to be a bit too much stuff to fit in there and they wanted a way to further sub-divide the currencies. FFXI added something like this a while back (actually added it though, not just moved it somewhere else), and that game sorely needed it. It has so many different kinds of "currency" that there's actually two separate currency menus just to list it all >_>
I'm just glad they had the forethought to stick MGP in there. My biggest gripe before the patch was the fact that I had to go into a separate thingy just to check it when I expected to see it on the currencies tab.

I personally like the change. It's much easier to just click on the currency display to open the new window than it was to open the character window and switch to the correct tab.
I can only imagine the people that don't like it simply aren't used to it yet.

I find it silly that they made the currency tab pop up with a left click, so now I have to try to get used to cycling through gil > seals > MGP with right clicking.

Adding my vote to hating the change.
