Speaking of new abilities, how about ability CHANGES? Such as shield swipe now generating enmity. That's quite a welcome change.
Goring blade is wicked imo. I can do two rage of halone combos in between before refreshing it. And once I do I'll slap circle of scorn and then when all that is done with a fracture for extra dots. 3 dots from PLD is awesome, but with fracture I lose TP so much faster.
Yeah PLD got much better in terms of adding onto its value as a support beam for any party.
I do think I might have to make a Divine Veil Macro to tell the healer/party to get in to receive the buff.
Clemancy is really useful, like most of you guys I'll burn it when I see the healer taking massive damage or if I see DPS also took a hit. Its such a valuable ability to lessen the strain when "Oh S***" moments happen.
With these abilities coupled with our Halone STR debuff, why would any group want to drop PLD from their raid roster.
Yeah. DV is perfectly designed for those instances. Even Succor triggers it so no sweat on the SCH. It's as is you cast SS on yourself and you use deployment tactics to spread it to your allies. PLDs, despite lacking on firepower offer something the other 2 tanks can't which is why they will never be out of any raid compositions.
Edit. Speaking of SCH, i just thought of the best party-wide mitigation from PLD and SCH. As the boss preps for its big move, we cast DV, stack with the rest of the party, cast SS on ourselves while the SCH casts a Fey Illuminated Adloquium then spread it with Deployment Tactics.

Im forced to kind of hotbar + mouse once in awhile, want to simplify my life without losing potency.
Am I the only one having more trouble than before to keep aggro? It can be difficult with some dps classes, I even did a dungeon with a dragoon able to take aggro from the boss, it never happened before...
The new skills are interesting and for me transform the PLD in a "one man army", still able to tank, to dps better and to heal. It's awesome when soloing (FATES for example). But I still think it lacks of new AoE aggro and defense skills...
How about the increased mp cost for stoneskin and flash! I thought with the added mp we'd be able to do a whole lot more casting if we wanted, but I seem to remember stoneskin costing 212mp and now its like 617mp or something (same with flash)!
