That makes sense, saberchic, but the people who are doing it right now "WILL" scream bloody murder and freak out on Square and all that Jazz.
and I honestly think square should not care and impliment it/leave it in anyway.

I thought the auto-kick was reinstated for the expansion launch?
Then it's time we complain right back. It's clearing being abused by the spammers. I for once 'can' live with an afk boot. Anyone afk for that long, isn't at the comp. if they are, waiting on a node spawn timer, can get into the habit of logging in five minutes before said spawn, instead of sitting, doing nothing, while essentially wasting server space. And apparently, most of the afkers are just sitting at an aetherite, garnering EXP bonus (at best) apparently. Jeeze, most of those node spawn campers, probably have tablet/ipod apps for this stuff, like I do. Anywho, a month from now, maybe it all wont matter. For the moment however, I'm making noise about it, since I'm being denied some (blank) good story, cause of friggen coding problems.
So I'll make the noise, and a month from now, this'll be forgotten. Put BACK the AFK auto-kick timer. 30 minutes is reasonable. End of Line.
Put it back. and again, those who whine about it YOUR PART OF THE PROBLEM.
I don't understand. Did they already remove the 30-minute auto-kick after only a day? If they did, what was the point of putting it on in the first place? Or is it that people have found a workaround (the aetherytes)?
Because they did implement a 30-minute afk auto-kick with 3.0. It's right there in the patch notes.
Not working then, if that is the case. Probably some botting program keeping them on, cause these peeps 'have' to sleep at some point. Anyone else wana try keeping away for more than 36 hours? It gets ugly even in the military (USAF vet here.)
All it takes is to place someone on whatever moves your camara around and boom, a way to skip being flagged for afk.
What should be done is if your char is withing a certion range of an Aether Crystal and does not physically move away from said range for a set time, you get auto booted. Then once they find that range, expand it til you get the whole zone.
Guess I can finally finish The Walking Dead game thats just been sitting on my hard drive.
Woke up early at 4:30 am and Gilgamesh still hasn't opened.. z__z
The only justification that I can think of is that I've had to wait an hour and thirty minutes before for my duty finder to pop. During that time I just had my chara sit there and did some housework because there wasn't anything else I wanted to do ingame at the time.
