This is how we lost the original names of the Limsa Lominsa aethernet... I miss those names. So joke worthy.
Thanks for pointing this out. This really bothered me as well.
It was a bad game-play interface decision that shouldn't be defended with statements like, "get used to it" or "I already memorized where it is".
A good example of how it should be is in FFXI the teleport crystals will center the map of where you will go to. This way you don't need to memorize anything but see geographically where you will go to. It was very intuitive and not confusing to new players.
I never had any trouble... do people not look at maps anymore?
Not to mention it's called the "Forgotten Knight" because that's the place with all the stuff in it.
My only (minor) gripe with Ishgard's aethernet is the inability to teleport directly to the Coerthas Western Highlands or Sea of Clouds. Would be nice if those were added when we unlock flying in those areas, along with the zone lines becoming accessible.
It's easy it's usually the most important place, in this screenshot it's obvious that it is the forgotten knight inn.
If there's something they should be fixing is reverting the change they did to the aetherytes in the original cities.
Generic names suck.
Why the vitriol against them making it easier for people who have a genuine problem with the fact you have to memorise the names rather than them showing up on the map?
Some people can be incredibly uncompassionate.
