I agree. This was handled much better than the ARR launch. Sure, it's not issue free as some are struggling to get on, but far less than ARR launch and not as long lasting.
As for the expansion itself I am pretty impressed. Ishgard has to be one of my top 5 favorite/beautifully designed fantasy cities I have ever seen in 20 years of RPGs.
Compared to ARR early access and launch, this is near perfect. Yeah, we're suffering from the usual 2002 and 5006 errors that come with this sort of congestion (and the odd 90k), but honestly, I'll just try again later tonight when the initial evening rush dies down to try and re-enter the game.
I've been #314 in a queue for about 30 minutes now and the number hasn't changed. Earlier today my entire FC was dumped and spent several hours trickling slowly back in whenever they were lucky enough to get in without a lobby error. So, not exactly going all that well from what I can tell.
Got a couple login errors, but I was usually able to log on on my 2nd or 3rd attempt. Not perfect, but certainly not as bad as it could be. I expect by Tuesday, us early accessers will be more spread out for a smooth official launch.
The only login error I had today was when the whole Chaos data center seemed to have an issue. But as for that... I could get in just fine, even with my crappy laptop and not perfect connection.
:) This is why I like being on a smaller server.
The launch has been amazing. Try to remember that the people complaining here (and you have every right to complain, I'm not blaming you) seem to be a vocal minority. On my server (Tonberry) and friends on other servers, the worst any of is encountered might have been slight lag while in the new coerthas or a dc to which we logged back in shortly. If you are having problems then I hope they get better soon! It won't be rocky forever. Tuesday though.....I'm not sure how I feel about Tuesday. Let's just hope for the best.

Compared to most huge expac launches I will add my thank you here as well. Been the most smooth I've read about and experienced in years. Yes there was/still is log in problems, but there isn't really any game breaking glitches. Nice job, Square ^^b Just iron out the kinks with the data centers and you'll be great.
Brilliant launch and expansion the best I've seen and I've played a lot of games.
So thank you SE for all your hard work it has been worth it :)
