Repelling shot is like a dragoon's elusive jump, but instead of lowering hate and removing heavy it does damage.

Last i checked repelling shot did not push enemies forward and such....
I agree about fluid aura as have had whms use that also while i be casting flare on the target, yaargh
I basically only use it if the mob is on me. Blank + Leg Graze or Foot Graze to buy some breathing room. I know why they're using it-- it's a free 100 potency off global, but I can definitely understand why it's bothering tanks.
This person gets it. It generates little to no hate so within a couple of seconds it's back with the tank. The only difference with Fluid Aura is that Aura binds for a short time. The mob still comes back to the tank. On one mob it's a waste but on a group it allows a bit of breathing room if needed.
I just use it for a stylish killing blow. And that stone head thing to stop it from running in sunken temple if we fight the bee first. And I guess on the bees if they wanna sting people.
I've seen some using it to setup bind cc since aoe is limited at the early levels. Which is kinda overkill, but fine.

There are two types of machinists that use this.
There's the ones who are panicking about the enemy with a cast bar aimed at them, and use it to get them away. It's annoying, but understandable.
And then there's the ones who are doing it simply because it's on their quickbar, and if the devs didn't want them to use it, then they wouldn't have gotten it. These ones need a swift education.
