I was always a fan of the HMS Thunder Child from H.G Wells' "War of the Worlds"

While protecting fleeing refugees from the Martian attacks it rammed one of the Martian's war machines, fired on a second, and attacked a third before finally being destroyed. It succeeded in allowing the civilians time to escape and was the only human ship to fight against the Martians on anything like an equal footing.

But, the name of our Airship will be of fierce debate in my Free Company I'm sure :P
