PvP Rank and Expansion

They only removed the one on the 90 gear when they introduced gear that looked exactly like it that could be crafted.

Why haven't they removed the i100 gears restriction then?

If that was the case then it should have been removed when they added the 110 gear. But they didn't.

I got all mine with 0 win trading.

For some reason I thought the reason they removed the restriction on the ilvl90 PvP was to help people "gear up" for PvP faster and motivate them to play more because they'd have a better chance of winning with better gear? I don't know why, but I feel like that was something I read somewhere. Not that I think it was a good idea; clearly most people just did the bare minimum to get the marks for glamors and then cut and ran...

well thats wrong, they removed the restiction along with adding frontlines and equalized pvp, gear has no effect on pvp at all once you have i80 gear and above. tbh you would have gimped yourself by wearing pvp gear into frontlines at the start because it was missing stats and moral had no effect in frontlines at all.


it was finally fixed much much later down the road along with adding an extra substat to pvp gear to make it on par with regular gear.

Some things take time and effort, this is one of them.

My questions are:

Will PvP iLev gear be increased, if so, will it actually look different than the i100 stuff?
Will the new jobs be getting awesome PvP gear, if so what animals will they be?
Will they actually make Moral a useful stat?
Will we have a mode where we arent iLevel synced?

I assumed they were trying to get people to still use the Wolves' Den by making morale gear easier to obtain. /shrug

In any case, it doesn't really matter why they did it; it does set a precedent to do it again if the devs think that people will be motivated to PvP a bit if they can get glamor gear. But like I said, I'm not for removing the restriction, even if I would directly benefit from that.

Yes, and they've shown images of it. AST's animal is a Gryphon. I can't tell which was MCN and which was DRK, but one looks like a Behemoth, and the other like a Dragon.
