I meant that it would flip on the y-axis not z-axis. For example, this hairstyle would be the default option:

but I say what you did there. If that was true then some hairstyles would be "party in the front and business in the back."

Elezen hair options are all pretty crummy, so I sorely wish we had more choices. Especially long hair choices.
