Why Sony? If you play on PS4 and then want to play it on PC you still have to buy the PC version which has nothing to do with Sony.

Ah, entitlement at its finest. Basically when Black Ops III comes out, I better start a forum about how I bought it on the ps4 and Treyarch/Acitivision didn't give me a copy to play on my Xbox ONE. Horrible Business practice./s
Narcissism and first world issues are the bane of this community.
Pointing out it's crappy to buy the same content to access the same account on the same server repeatedly with no additions, no perks, no benefit other than accessing it through a different portal is TOTALLY the same thing as getting two copies of a game on seperate servers accessing different assets and different communities entirely.
It's all good though, I expected every fanboy in the forum to tell me how stupid I was being and immediately resort to adhoms over it. Don't worry though because you've sucessfully convinced me that this game's community isn't worth my time anyways; Hopefully the staff sees the feedback and takes note of where they lose customers.
If you quit a video game because of peer criticism over a point of view they don't agree with, then MMO's probably aren't up your alley anyway. Characterizing an entire playerbase off of a handful of disagreeing responses is pretty childish, no?
I'd hate to see what you would do if a Titan Landslide clipped you and the rest of your group called you bad. Actually, I might enjoy it.
The door: There isn't anyone at it waiting to stop you.
I don't really care at all what the forum community says; What's pushing me out the door is the additional charges for accessing the exact same content not what people have said on the forum. Also, I don't characterize the entire playerbase for the forum minority; I've discussed this among friends but the devs have next to zero chance to notice feedback not in any of the more official channels. I think you're misunderstanding where my frustration is coming from.
The problem with the PS4 -> PC example is Steam. Sure, people can buy the normal PC version to get around Steam, but there's inevitably been people who started on PS4 and then bought the PC version via Steam. If the PS4 version auto-enabled you to play on PC for free, that would make purchasing the game on Steam at all completely pointless. Was releasing the game on Steam a good business practice? No clue, but that's a different topic altogether. As it stands, it's already been done.
That first response is also still correct. While you do need to buy the game and expansion for each platform you want to play it on, you only need to buy/register the CE version once to access the CE items regardless of which platform you log in on. (I purchased the standard version of ARR for PS3 and still had all my 1.0/2.0 CE items/mounts/etc)
Not sure how I could have done that...
You characterized an entire forum based off of a few responses. No, I guess you didn't characterize the entire playerbase per se but....
One person's thought seemed to be enough to tip you over the edge here. This small thread has you successfully convinced that the entire game isn't worth playing? I don't know Ketsuyame or anything but if I had one voice to represent the entire game's playerbase, well, I think I might choose differently.
So, SE needs to get rid of Ketsuyame so they can stop losing customers?
I only misunderstood you, if you misunderstood yourself when you wrote that. Hell, I don't even disagree with you. It would be nice if there was some kind of discount at least. But ultimately I did mean what I said, you acknowledged buying ARR separately for console and PC. The precedence was there. It isn't making you do anything you haven't already done in the past. The fact that you knew it was like this and expected something different is insane. Literally, that is the definition of insanity.
Just wait for one of them to drop in price if it's really that big of a deal, but misplaced judgments aside I promise you there isn't a "official channel" anywhere on the webs big enough to get SE to change their pricing strategy 12 days before release.
"You characterized an entire forum based off of a few responses. No, I guess you didn't characterize the entire playerbase per se but...."
every fanboy on the forum =/= the entire forum either, fyi, but specifically the fanboys who will insist S/E can do no wrong.
"One person's thought seemed to be enough to tip you over the edge here. This small thread has you successfully convinced that the entire game isn't worth playing?"
The game is not worth playing? No, just that the community (moreso focused on the forum, since that's where we are) isn't worth bothering with.
"So, SE needs to get rid of Ketsuyame so they can stop losing customers? "
No, SE needs to consider how they are charging full price for expansions repeatedly across platforms and how that influences the opinons of their playerbase.
