From I've seen over the years its completely random. I'm going on a few weeks now without it kicking me out of the start menu, but before that it happened 4 times in like 2 days. My dad has his account on often at the same time, and both PS4's side by side will go through the same events, and then one will do it and the other will not. Gotta be some random thing in a connection somewhere.
