This is because the "wait" value is integer seconds, where as damn near everything we can cast is not solid integers and is affected by spell speed.

I don't use a lot of healing macros for the same reason as everyone else, queuing up abilities.
But my most used macros on the PC are my summons, so I can hotbar their individual abilities (primarily Embrace). Same with my SMN. Not at my PC, so syntax might be off:
/macroicon "Summon"
/ac "Summon"
/hotbar pet "Embrace" Eos (hotbar#) (slot#)
/hotbar pet "Whispering Wind" (#) (#)
etc...
and
/macroicon "Summon II"
/ac "Summon II"
/hotbar pet "Embrace" Selene (hotbar#) (slot#)
etc...
You need to specify Selene on the Embrace line, or it will default to Eos's Embrace. If I need a cure bomb, I can hotbar Embrace next to Physick/Adlo and just space 1,2,1,2,1,2 for example. I hotbar Whispering Wind next to Succor for the same reason.
All my dps skills have <tt> attached so i can keep my target on the tank and rinse through my lustrates as needed. I also make use of a rouse whispering dawn macro, a pet placement macro and pet summoning macros with some /emote motion flair.
And of course 2 raise macros so i can call all non dragoons, dragoons and compliment all dragoons on the correct implementation of death into their rotation... Cause I'm nice like that.
On SCH I have this one:
/micon "Physik"
/ac "Physik" <t>
/pac "Embrace" <t>
/ac "Physik" <me>
/pac "Physik" <me>
I have the Physik and Embrace skill separeted as well in the hotbar.
On both healers I have all the DPS skill and Virus macroed with <t> and <tt>, Raise/Resurrection with the /p <t> announcement.
Honestly, Stay away from these. Macroing your healing spells with Embrace is bad. It gives you less freedom and can cause either annoyance because you can't queue your healing spells or laziness in not actually controlling your embraces.
I would also not use Succor in his Fey Illumination -> Whispering Dawn Macro. If you need it you can cast it yourself, otherwise you are restricting yourself again.
He wasn't talking about that. He was referring to the fact that macros can't be queued up for cast, while nonmacro spells can be. Nothing to do with "/wait".
I never use any healing macros. However, I know I definitely need to for at least Raises, Eye for an Eye and Virus.
This morning I was just thinking about if it will be possible to get a good macro for when AST's card buffs come out. To notify via chat who is getting the buff.
I have this macro:
/ac "fey illumination"
/ac succor
I think it works wonders. Specially in the beginning of the fight when I cast a powerfull succor. People told me before that fey illumination is best to be used situationally, but this way I think it's best like this is, cause I will use it as soon as ready. I use Whispering down more situationally than fey illumination and I want to know your thoughts about that. What do you think?
/p Casting buff on <t>, good luck with the effect! ... ^.^ (lol)
Eh, it's gotten me through t13 fine on the ps4 enough before it was DF-able (I now play on PC). He asked for macros, I was just providing what I used to use. Most of my stuff is unlinked now, unless I'm feeling lazy (shift 6 - hotbar 6 is all these macros). I main WHM, so eh.
