50-60 taking as long as 1-50

As someone who has done 1-50 across 9 characters and around 25x total between them I feel the need to point out that 1-50 if focusing solely on exp gain can be (and in my case has been) done in a single weekend so that kind of statement doesnt really worry me or mean much to me

So 50-60 need 5-7 days?

It is faster if you also queue up for exp dungeon roulette while doing the FATEs.

With the magic of exp dungeon roulette you can have the new jobs in your party already at day 1. I foresee a increasing demand for melee characters in the lv 30-49 dungeons, if the DF still try to put 1 melee and 1 ranged job into a party. If you want to queue as a DPS, then better as a melee.

I'm okay with a long duration to get from 50-60. There's lots of ways to get XP now. Dungeons, Leves, MS Quests, multiple Sidequests, FATES, etc. However, I'm sure the truly hardcore people will manage to get from 50-60 within 72-hrs.

Im lucky, one of my friends will only play Healers and is planning to level AST in Dungeons and my other friend is addicted to the idea of DRK. I wanted to try the Machinist, so we have a 3/4 instant queue lol.

I'm actually pretty pumped about it. My only hope is that dungeon content is more difficult this time around. I'm totally on board with people being forced to do their roles in regular content so that when we get to upper tier content there is a greater understanding of the basic mechanics of more difficult fights.

Plus, making the lvling process take a week or 2 isn't really even long in terms of MMO leveling. You can do 1-50 easily in less than a week now so i'm hoping I dont see a server full of lvl 60 characters in a week.

Additionally alot of the content involved for lvl 60 wont even be released for a couple weeks afterward so we might as well enjoy it in the meantime.

I'm concerned about this statement. There are 18 dungeons/trials you clear as you level to 50. That doesn't include the "end game" stuff after you turn 50 or other dungeons that are part of the story line. How much content is available in HW at launch?

If it will take the same amount of time to get from 50-60, that can only be because of forced grind, fetch and carry quests, etc.

I'm just now leveling up an alt from zero to 50 and that is excruciating enough. I'm getting tired of "Oh, you're the great hero everyone has been talking about! Listen, can you take this letter to someone for me / pick up stuff around camp that I've left lying around / ..."

Lv60 content like Alexander will be not here at launch, but 2 weeks after launch (so nobody fell forced to rush to lv60)

Skill quests every 2 levels. Lv50+ skills are not learned automatic with level up.

To be honest, my class will be level 60 before Early Access ends. Leveling is exceedingly swift as it is now, if you suffer through it. It'll be MUCH faster with main quests and first time bonuses etc. Also, dungeon EXP grinding will be a breeze with a Black Mage in your group (or 2)

This really relies on this being your first level 60 job though. While this is all fine and dandy for our first jobs I'm more concerned about the long term impact this will have for future classes I want to level.

When the well of quests run dry and Fates get even more boring than they already are, the 50-60 grind is going to be about as tedious as they come. Moreso if we have to keep stopping to re-gear for newer content.
