Mystic Knight!
Mystic Knights are warriors that can cast magic on their swords to perform attacks with the power of the spell for several rounds. They have also been called Magic Knights. In Final Fantasy V, the Mystic Knight can use any magic previously learned on their sword. The skill itself is called Magic Sword and Spellblade (Final Fantasy V Advance). Although their magic power is weaker than the mages', Mystic Knights use less MP (and generally pierce Reflect, which can hinder certain mages' offense). The Mystic Knight's ability appeared in Final Fantasy IX in the form of the combo between Steiner and Vivi, where Vivi casts a spell on Steiner's sword, who attacks the enemy at the same time. Although i suppose future Battle Regimens is similar to this.
Class: Entertainer
Unlockable jobs: Puppet Master, Dancer, Bard
mystic knight sounds like a good addition :D along with the entertainer class. could add mimic to the unlockable jobs kinda like how we watch mimes on stage XD. i think that an ff14 bard would need a revamp on what he could do other than just the basic debuffs. if 14 has mobs sensitive to sound maybe by the bard playing a certain kind of tune could mess up how the monster sees players =o
and yes i enjoy toying with other ppls ideas to make new ones :p

*Edited to keep up to date with my previous posts.
I would love to see a class use whips in this game because I really haven't seen that before and the fact that gunblades and gun spears are mentioned in the Grand Company article means I better have one in my hand within a year. I was hoping there wouldn't be a dedicated summoner class in this game because I thought it would be like some other FF games where anyone class could summon.
It's been a long time since I posted about what I wish the job/class combos would be... Let me see if I remember what I had thought. I was hoping to see a second weapon introduced to classes for a second job, but you have to remember each class is named after the weapon it uses, and magic classes are named after the way the magic is used, more or less.
MRD (Axe, G.Axe) -> Warrior (Axe(s)), Viking (G.Axe)
GLA (Sword, G.Sword) -> Paladin (Sword), Dark Knight (G.Sword)
PUG (Fists, Claws) -> Monk (Fists), Thief (Claws)
LNC (Spear, Pole) -> Dragoon (Spear), Puppetmaster (Pole) *See what I did there? Both pet jobs...*
ARC (Bow, X.Bow) -> Ranger (Bow), Scout (X.Bow)
CON (Staff, Radical) -> Black Mage (Staff), White Mage (Radical)
THM (Staff?, Scepter) -> Red Mage (Staff), Time Mage (Scepter)
Coming soon classes....
Musketeer (Pistol, Hand Cannon) -> Corsair (Pistol), Cannoneer (Hand Cannon)
Arcanist (Mechanical staff / Mechanical club) -> Bard (Staff), Mechanic (club)
Ronin (Katana, G.Katana) -> Ninja (Katana), Samurai (G.Katana)
Flagellant? (Whip, Flail) -> Beastmaster (Flail), Summoner (Whip)
Slasher? (Scimitar, Jambiya) -> Blue Mage (Scimitar), Dancer (Jambiya)
Something along those lines. I would like them to keep magic using jobs with other magic using jobs of similar nature. I know most of this isn't even possible anymore... But ever since they announced jobs, this was my dream, to abolish physical levels, and make class rank the physical level, and unlock 2 jobs each that each have their own rank you can level, too. For instance, level slasher to 20, unlock Blue mage, so now you've got a 1BLU/20SLA. Level up to 10, Slasher ends up around 24, then you unlock DNC, so now you have a 1DNC/24SLA. Keep physical levels, rework them, rebalance them, and work them into job/class instead of class/physical.
Anyway, thats obviously out the window, but I thought that would have been innovative.
