I was just talking about this last night with my FC mates.... It will be interesting to see how they manage it.

There will be a few added abilities between 51 and 60. Some are easy for the devs to do. Enhanced Whatever. But, they'll need to add actual abilities as well. I'm curious what they'll be and how they will be utilized.
I think Pld is very pad friendly currently. I keep two palettes for dungeons, one has a marker, riot blade for group pulls with those swapped out for fight or flight and shield swipe for single targets. There's a third palette with stuff I don't use very often like hallowed ground and the oath commands.
Having tanked for about 6 years in another MMORPG, I can say I miss having a Charge (similar to the MNK ability). It would be very useful to close in on adds that require our immediate attention, even in situations where they need to be silenced or stunned, and the PLD is the only one in the group who can do it.
And also, being that the PLD is the more "party utility" specced tank, having a sort of a party-wide "magic resistance" shield that would perhaps reflect said damage would be a really cool ability to play with, though, I would not scoff at the idea of having some sort of personal reflective ability either ;)
Often, the inherent abilities of PLD and WAR are compared and judged as better or worse, but I would like to point at the fact that such differences are in place to offer flexibility and different play styles. I leveled them both, and I get to choose which I am using for a given situation
With a 10-level increase, I do anticipate 4 new abilities, does anyone else?
Because I play on a PS4 with the controller, I had the idea of connecting a cheap usb keyboard to it so I can type in chat.
By keeping all my offensive abilities + minor cooldowns & marker (1) on a single cross bar, and keybinding all my major cooldowns to the Num keypad while keeping them on a vertical hotbar on the side of my screen, allows me to monitor my cooldown timers at a glance, rather than having to switch crossbars to do so. I find this very helpful, especially during progression raiding where your attention to mechanics is required, and your reactivity to the encounter is not yet second-nature ;)
