Dragoons are overpowered

I fully support a DRG nerf, possibly a job trait that gives them a 10% chance of instant death from using a GCD skill.

As a NIN, if a DRG is heavily outparsing you, problem isn't with DRG. It's in the mirror XD

NIN and DRG are pretty close, MNK still pulls ahead depending on the fight. It's pretty balanced. One thing DRG is missing tho, is a viable party wide utility like NIN and MNK have.

DRG needed to be brought upto the level they are at because they were being overlooked for content. Being blocked from content because your preffered job is underperforming in compariso is a balance fail. It was fixed, deal with it. BTW, I don't play DRG, I could see the problems without having to.

They already do, it's called jump but for some DRGs it's much higher than 10% :P

They have a glaring advantage in their overall kit, which is exactly why this game will never attract the PvP crowd in the millions, but thank goodness majority of DRG mains are not exactly the brightest bulb on the sidewalk.

DRG is anything but overpowered; just easier to use effectively than the competing melee dps classes (MNK has to manage stacks and NIN gets screwed if you mess up mudras).

Maybe you need to start looking @ how you're playing TC, though I have a good feeling that this is like those healer troll topics "SCH too op plz nerf. WHM too gimp"

I'd love to know what all these buffs were... cause I really don't remember lancer getting any that weren't also shared with other classes. Only largely lancer-centric buff I can recall was the rebalancing of medium armor defense stats to give it a bit more magic survivability. That was more a PvE buff, though, given how the going joke was that if a mouse farted on a distant hill, the wind alone would kill a lancer. But hey, maybe you just don't have your mouse minion yet to kill the lancer for you.

They got a good several changes in a previous patch, removing the positional requirement from a lot of their abilities and increasing potency/decreasing cooldowns to bring them more in-line with MNK and NIN.

Ah yes, that. Hmm, that was still another PvE buff, though, given some of the new mechanics dungeons and bosses have been getting. As has been said, the focus of this game isn't PvP, it's PvE and in this regard lancer hasn't really changed because everyone else has also enjoyed similar buffs.

That same mouse fart interrupts a BLM spell cast in PvP, DRG isn't the only job that has weaknesses.

The other buff for DRG that you are missing is the decrease in reliance of positions for damage.
