Lore info within patch 2.5 files

omg, I was there too, same server..hehe :) That is so cool they put that into the game lore! :D

Eorzea also has obvious shades of the Americas as far as its New World aspects (and the musket-punk tech), and I always read into Garlemald, Roman naming aside, as being a decent parallel to Kaiser Wilhelm's Germany in the great strides it takes to emulate a certain fallen empire of yore.

But it's ultimately one of those settings, with just enough mix-and-match going on to make more than one interpretation valid at once.

ZOMG you were on Mysidia!!!! I recognize a few of the names in there from the ls I was in Holy Dragoon... delirium Impulse!!!! I wish i could have been there for the wall but I had to work that day >.<

You know that bit on the Eorzea map that's labeled "The Garlean Empire"? Well that's Othard. Ilsabard is directly to the north, past the island of Sharlayan. As someone else said, think of Europe Asia and Africa, and how they connect to each other.

I was indeed from Beta to the night Dalamud came crashing down on our heads. Holy Dragoon was a great person from my exp with them. I was hoping to see them again on Sarg, as well as a few others. There was the one who was one of the writers for an online game site but I cannot remember his name.

This time was possibly one of the best times I have ever spent in a game. People got along so well, no one trolled or was rude. People cooperated and worked together. Then there was just the actual chatting, met so many great ppl. Too bad I lost contact with so many of em.

Yeah holy left and went to another server. We did all decide to go to sargatanas though. And some are still. There but yeah mysidia was great I miss it. Holy was who I called my Beta buddy he was talking to me on our Seraphim chat when I got the email invite for 1.0 closed beta I miss him.

Well....to be fair, the Allagans prbably enslaved/ subjugated every race and nation that they've conquered. Similar to how the Garleans do it

To be fair, I never ment to imply Miqo'te exclusively. Just that there are interesting implications there that will probably never be proven either way. Until the time travel xpac, anyway.

I wonder if they'll ever impliment these? Some of them seem like they might start getting outdated.
